TIA: Fall Toy Preview

The show's description from the TIA web site: "Fall Toy Preview is the by-appointment-only event where toy manufacturers privately show their newest product lines to long-lead buyers. Exhibitors must currently sell to mass market accounts, and they must show products for 4th quarter sales in the following year." In other words, you don't get to go to this show until you've already made it! That said, its a great opportunity to widen your footprint...if you've already got your foot in the door!

BoardGameGeek.com sponsors this show in November of each year. It is a consumer show where the focus is on playing games, not on buying them. It is growing in popularity and attracts die hard board game players from around the country. Good to check out if you're in the neighborhood.

Toy and Game Inventors Expo

As the name implies, this is a gathering of inventors. Held at the same site as ChiTaG in the 3 days proceeding that show, it appears to be a great event. 2008 was the first year and Imagigrafx staff loved it. We were back in 2009 and plan to return again in 2010.

Chicago Toy and Game Fair

ChiTaG is a good and growing show sponsored by Discover Games. The show focuses on the mass market. It is a consumer show, open to the public. In 2008, ChiTaG also added TAGIE to the agenda. Imagigrafx will be a ChiTaG. (2010 dates approximate)
